A licensed therapist in Philadelphia has created a new therapy unit on wheels to drive behavioral health services to underserved communities, according to a July 31 report from ABC 6.
The vehicle has couches and art, and it is powered by solar panels. Therapist Sarah Andrews came up with the idea three years ago, and the mobile therapy unit began traveling to communities in July, with hopes of normalizing receiving mental healthcare by making it more accessible to those in need.
