Meanwhile, mental health therapists come in at No. 3 on the list, earning an average annual salary of $76,140. The role has also experienced a 132% increase in job share between 2020 and 2023.
Psychiatrist — which was the highest paying role on the list, with an average annual salary of $258,440 — came in at No. 7 in the rankings. This role saw a 36% increase in job share between 2020 and 2023.
Other behavioral health roles included on the list were behavioral health professionals at No. 17, psychiatric nurses at No. 18 and psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioners at No. 23.
