Lebanon, N.H.-based Dartmouth Health was selected as the new clinical contractor for Hampstead (N.H.) Hospital and Residential Treatment Facility.
Dartmouth will provide psychiatric and medical care to patients of the facility starting July 1. The hospital will provide clinical, prescriber-level care and work with state employees who will provide nonprescriber care, according to a May 15 system news release.
Previously, behavioral health services were provided by Nashville-based Wellpath Recovery Services. The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services did not say why it is parting ways with Wellpath, nor if Wellpath was one of the two organizations that submitted a bid for the two-year contract, the New Hampshire Bulletin reported May 15.
Hampstead Hospital is the only source of pediatric psychiatric inpatient and psychiatric residential treatment in the state.
