Kohl's donates $3M to open 3 mental health walk-in clinics in Wisconsin

Wisconsin-based retailer Kohl's has donated $3 million to Children's Wisconsin in Milwaukee to open three mental health walk-in clinics across the state, according to a May 1 report from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Locations for the clinics haven't been set, but Children's Wisconsin is aiming to open the first one this fall, with the next two to open in 2024 and 2025. Locations will be determined based on community need, existing facilities' ability to accommodate a clinic and existing partnerships.

The clinics will provide walk-in mental healthcare for patients between 5 and 18 who are experiencing a mental health emergency as an alternative to going to the emergency room, the report said.
