Connecticut hospital raises $4M for behavioral health unit expansion

Greenwich (Conn.) Hospital has raised $4 million to expand its behavioral health services, Greenwich Time reported March 31.

The hospital is using the funds to build a new intensive outpatient unit for individuals 19 and older that will offer cognitive behavioral group and individual therapies and medication management.

Donations from the community will also fund an outpatient program for individuals ages 12 to 18 that will offer intensive adolescent outpatient services, cognitive behavioral group interventions and medication management.

Additionally, the hospital is planning to use funds to construct a new outpatient interventional psychiatry service, which will be an extension of Yale Medicine's Interventional Psychiatry Service.
