Upper Valley Cares Behavioral Health is the first nonprofit in Washington to offer teletherapy services for drug and alcohol addiction to people across the state, the Wenatchee World reported Dec. 7.

UVCares' mental health clinic is located in Leavenworth and currently offers teletherapy for just under 50 clients per month. It currently offers telehealth services for patients with substance use needs or court-ordered substance use disorder treatment, as well as gambling addiction.

UVCares is staffed by six therapists and offers services to clients on a sliding scale rate, according to the report.
