Beach House Behavioral Health expands services

Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Beach House Behavioral Health has expanded its mental health treatment services beyond its initial substance use disorder treatment services.

The expansion allows providers at Beach House to treat patients with primary mental health conditions, along with those with co-occurring disorders, according to a Dec. 12 news release from the health system. The move aims to support substance use patients with additional mental health needs.

"As a physician it is important for me to lead Beach House in expanding the spectrum of healthcare services we provide to our patients," Beach House CEO Mark Pundt, MD, said in the release. "I am excited to launch our mental health service, which will allow us to care for patients with primary mental health conditions in addition to providing treatment for those challenged with substance use disorders as we have since our inception."
