Baptist Health Medical Center-North Little Rock (Ark.) has opened its new behavioral health unit.

The unit will treat patients between 18 and 65 years of age and will offer intensive inpatient psychiatric care for depression, anxiety, grief and psychosis through innovative services, group therapy and medication, according to an Oct. 30 news release.

The unit will include 22 beds, a large group therapy room, individual therapy rooms and a common area. In the future, it plans to offer child and adolescent psychiatry services, in addition to interventional psychiatry options for patients suffering from depression.
