Ballad Health has opened a new mental health treatment facility for adult and adolescent patients, WJHL reported Feb. 22.
The Ballad Health behavioral health child and adolescent outpatient services clinic is located in Johnson City, Tenn. It will also house the Ballad Health behavioral health adult outpatient services, which has been relocated and will offer intensive outpatient programming for patients 18 and older.
"One of the things that's come out of the pandemic is people are talking about mental health and we're really decreasing the stigma," Tammy Albright, CEO of Ballad's behavioral health services, said. "We're trying to co-locate our clinics alongside primary care and other specialty so that mental health is out front."
