Daniel Bard, a closing pitcher for Major League Baseball team the Colorado Rockies, has been placed on the injured list to start the season for mental health reasons, according to a March 30 news report from ESPN.

Syntero, a behavioral health treatment provider, is expanding its presence in Ohio with a new program, the Columbus Dispatch reported April 3. 

Lenawee County in Michigan has created a new program to keep more mentally ill individuals out of jail, the Daily Telegram reported April 3. 

The Colorado Medical Society has created a new program that will offer free peer counseling to any physician or medical student, the Loveland Reporter-Herald reported April 2.
