Mass General Brigham psych hospital taps associate CNO

Mass General Brigham’s McLean Hospital has appointed Jeanne McElhinney, RN, as associate chief nursing officer.

Ms. McElhinney will oversee nursing and inpatient clinical care at the Belmont, Mass.-based psychiatric hospital, according to a May 9 news release. She has held the role in an interim capacity alongside her colleague Paula Bolton since July 2022, when longtime CNO Linda Flaherty, RN, retired. 

Ms. McElhinney most recently served as director of the hospital’s Appleton residential program and as nurse director of the schizophrenia and bipolar disorder inpatient program. She’ll continue to oversee the residential program in her new role.
