Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare has named William Walders as its next chief information officer.

Mr. Walders was the chief information officer and senior vice president of operations support for Melbourne, Fla.-based Health First before joining BayCare in April, according to a May 1 news release.

Additionally, he has served as global vice president of data platforms and enterprise services at the Defense Health Agency and chief information officer for Bethesda, Md.-based Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He is also a retired U.S. Navy commander and recipient of the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
