Raleigh, N.C.-based WakeMed Health is planning to build a behavioral health hospital in the nearby suburb of Garner.

San Bernardino, Calif.-based SAC Health has received a $1.63 million grant to retain behavioral health professionals within the health center, which serves a region designated as a mental healthcare professional shortage area by the Kaiser Foundation.

King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services saw an increase in behavioral health revenues in 2022, despite a labor bottleneck forcing it to turn patients away in some markets.

UnityPoint Health's Peoria, Ill.-area behavioral services now known as UnityPlace are being rebranded to Trillium Place following Urbana, Ill.-based Carle Health, the Peoria Journal Star reported April 5.

Bangor, Maine-based Northern Light Acadia Hospital has received $500,000 to expand its behavioral health services, Bangor Daily News reported April 4. 

Greenwich (Conn.) Hospital has raised $4 million to expand its behavioral health services, Greenwich Time reported March 31. 

Nonprofit organization Breakthrough Discoveries for Thriving with Bipolar Disorder was awarded $15 million in grants to further bipolar disorder genetics research. 

Charlottesville, Va.-based UVA Children's Hospital has teamed up with Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital, also in Charlottesville, to expand pediatric behavioral healthcare and neurodevelopmental care with a new outpatient clinic. 

Chelsea (Mich.) Hospital is closing its adult inpatient behavioral health unit at the end of 2023, WEMU reported April 5.
