Meridian Behavioral Health operates 12 inpatient and six outpatient substance use disorder treatment centers in Minnesota, according to its website. The acquisition will allow the company to offer medically monitored detox services, according to its LinkedIn post.
"The Gateway model of providing a safe and comfortable environment supported by state-of-the-art nursing care will ensure an optimized opportunity to transition into recovery program treatment and improve clinical outcomes," Meridian Health CEO Lewis Zeidner, PhD, said in the post.
The acquisition is one of a number of transactions in the behavioral health space on which Becker's has reported in January.
