Lee’s Summit, Mo.-based ReDiscover is planning a $20 million renovation to turn a former grocery store in Kansas City, Mo., into a behavioral health campus, NBC affiliate KSHB reported June 16.

The system will convert the 50,000-square-foot site into a flagship location for its adult and youth mental health urgent care services. The site will also offer outpatient care, counseling and pharmacy services.

ReDiscover is fundraising for the project and hopes to break ground by the end of 2025, according to KSHB. The first phase of the center is set to open in late 2026.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
