Maryland behavioral health provider acquires chain

Rockville, Md.-based Orchard Mental Health Group has acquired Maryland Counseling Associates. 

The Cockeysville, Md.-based mental health provider has four locations. 

Earlier this year, Orchard Mental Health Group acquired two additional behavioral health providers. The company now employs more than 165 providers and handles more than 120,000 visits annually, according to a July 8 news release. 

The transaction comes amid a busy year for behavioral health mergers and acquisitions. Behavioral health deal flow increased 35% year over year in the first quarter of 2025, according to a June report from PwC.
