West Virginia launches online database of evidence-based behavioral health services

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Services has launched an online database of behavioral health services to help residents and providers make informed decisions about treatment options, WV Public Broadcasting reported July 25.

The Bureau for Behavioral Health Clearinghouse includes information on prevention, early intervention, treatment and recovery services. It was originally developed to review behavioral health services for children and young adults but processes requests for residents of all ages.

The database, which is funded through grants from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, is similar to databases in California and Washington.
