Skilled nursing provider ventures into substance use disorder treatment

Generations Healthcare, a skilled nursing and behavioral health provider, has opened its first substance use disorder treatment facility.

The 64-bed center in Temecula, Calif., opened Jan. 21, according to a news release. The facility provides comprehensive care, including case management and psychiatry. 

Generations Healthcare operates 31 skilled nursing facilities in California, 10 of which offer behavioral health services. The company has more than 3,500 beds across its facilities. 

The new facility is the “first step” in the provider’s venture into substance use disorder treatment, Thomas Jurbala, the company’s director of business development for behavioral health, said in a news release.
