Pathway Healthcare, Watershed Health partner on care coordination

Birmingham, Ala.-based Pathway Healthcare and New Orleans-based Watershed Health have launched a strategic partnership aimed at improving care coordination for patients transitioning from emergency or inpatient behavioral health settings.

The collaboration aims to overcome the siloed information flow that often delays care for high-risk patients, Lindsay Lane, vice president of development at Pathway Healthcare, said.

Pathway operates in six states and focuses on integrated behavioral health and substance use treatment. Watershed’s platform supports automated document sharing and HIPPA-compliant collaboration across hospitals, providers and other stakeholders.
