Plano, Texas-based Oceans Healthcare opened Oceans Behavioral Hospital of Greater New Orleans — Kenner West in Kenner, La. The campus occupies the facility previously operated as Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of New Orleans.
The campus provides inpatient behavioral healthcare services for adults and older adults, as well as outpatient behavioral health programming, according to a July 28 news release shared with Becker’s. Oceans Healthcare has begun implementing its clinical, operational and quality processes as the facility integrates into its network, with the goal of expanding behavioral healthcare across southeast Louisiana.
Now, Oceans Behavioral Hospital of Greater New Orleans operates five locations, bringing Oceans Healthcare’s Louisiana footprint to 21 behavioral hospitals. The health system also continues to expand behavioral health services in the state through Louisiana Behavioral Health in Shreveport, a partnership with Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, and plans for a 66-bed behavioral hospital in Lacombe.
