The move comes after CMS approved a proposal from the state to add these community-based behavioral health Medicaid services through President Joe Biden’s American Rescue Plan, according to a Feb. 6 news release.

Other participating states are Alabama, California, Colorado, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Montana, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin, along with the District of Columbia.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
