Here are eight investments in behavioral health programs, services or facilities, totaling more than $121.8 million, that Becker's has reported since Oct. 27:
- Indiana (Pa.) Regional Medical Center broke ground on a 31,000-square-foot, 44-bed behavioral health facility. The project will cost $14 million.
- Virtual mental health practice Valera Health raised $44.5 million in a funding round led by the venture capital arms of several large hospital systems and local Blue Cross Blue Shield companies.
- Des Moines, Iowa-based Eyerly Ball Community Mental Health Services landed a $4 million federal grant to increase access and bolster its services as part of the the federal Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic program.
- Floreo, a virtual reality therapy provider for patients with autism, landed $10 million in a series A funding round led by The Disability Opportunity Fund and Tenfore Holdings, bringing the startup's total money raised to $12.1 million.
- Options MD, a telehealth startup created to provide care for treatment-resistant depression, raised $2.35 million in a funding round led by Bread & Butter Ventures, bringing its total pre-seed funding to almost $4 million.
- Little Rock-based University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences was awarded more than $2 million to equip and support primary care providers in screening, diagnosing, treating, and referring children with behavioral health conditions.
- The Ad Council, a nonprofit public service campaign company, will use a $15 million founding gift to kickstart a multisector mental health initiative.The money is a donation from the Huntsman Mental Health Institute, part of Salt Lake City-based University of Utah.
- Consulting company ICF will use contracts and subcontracts valued at more than $30 million to fund mental health services under HHS' Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
