Montana hospital to add inpatient psychiatric unit

Bozeman (Mont.) Health’s Deaconess Regional Medical Center plans to open a 14-bed inpatient psychiatric unit in 2025.

The system is renovating the first-floor inpatient wing at the medical center in Bozeman to create the adult inpatient unit, according to a June 5 news release from Bozeman Health. 

The system has grown its mental health staff from one psychiatrist in 2017 to nearly 40 clinicians in 2024, Kathryn Bertany, MD, CEO of Bozeman Health, said in the release.
