HHS will put $39.4 million in grant funding to several behavioral health initiatives.
Over $15 million of the funding will go to communities to develop assisted outpatient treatment programs for adults with serious mental illness, according to a March 22 news release.
Other projects the agency will fund include $6 million to states to promote the integration of primary and behavioral care, and $5.2 million to support the agency's collaborative care program.
The agency will also allocate $4.6 million to underage drinking prevention and $2.4 million to suicide prevention on college campuses.
