Cityblock will lose 155 employees due to the restructuring, according to a blog post published June 8 by CEO and co-founder Toyin Ajayi, MD. Impacted employees have had their medical insurance, including mental health support, extended through the end of the year.

“As we look ahead, our mission remains the same,” Dr. Ajayi said in the post. “There’s a profound opportunity to create lasting social value through transforming the healthcare experience for populations that the system has historically left behind. To achieve this, we must continue to strive both for excellence in the quality of care we provide, as well as for efficiency and sustainability.”
