Baltimore-based Children’s Milestone has launched an applied behavior analysis therapy initiative designed to deliver care in patients’ homes rather than traditional clinical settings.

The “learning lab” model focuses on natural environment teaching and integrates therapy into daily routines such as mealtime, play and personal care, according to a Jan. 21 news release. The approach aims to prompt more sustainable skill development by helping children with autism learn in the environments where behaviors occur.

A core feature of the program is caregiver collaboration. Children’s Milestone equips families with strategies to support communication and behavioral goals between therapy sessions, emphasizing personalized outcomes and increased independence.

The organization offers pediatric behavioral health services across Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Florida, according to the release.
