Pediatric virtual mental healthcare provider Brightline is laying off 20 percent of its staff for the second time in six months, a spokesperson confirmed to Becker's.
Brightline, which has partnerships with large healthcare players including the Cigna Group, indicated the job cuts will affect corporate, nonpatient-facing staffers, a Brightline spokesperson told Becker's.
"This decision was not taken lightly, and although incredibly difficult, it will ultimately allow us to better serve our clients and provide even more families with the mental healthcare support they deserve," the spokesperson said in an email.
Brightline first laid off one-fifth of its staff in November.
