Chicago-based Gateway Foundation has rebranded as Alpharus Health, reflecting the organization’s growth and vision for behavioral healthcare.

Alpharus Health provides substance use and mental health treatment, professional training, public policy advocacy and correctional treatment programs, according to an Aug. 18 news release from the nonprofit provider.

Jeremy Klemanski, president and CEO of Alpharus Health, said the organization’s new name reflects its focus on substance use and mental health treatment, professional education and policies aimed at increasing access to care.

Alpharus Health, formerly Gateway Foundation, with nearly 60 years of experience, provides community-based treatment programs and in-custody services nationally.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
