Behavioral health fraud whistleblower awarded $130K

A whistleblower in a behavioral health fraud case will receive $130,000 as part of the Justice Department's settlement, the department said May 9.

Prism Behavioral Solutions paid $650,000 to settle allegations it fraudulently billed California's Medicaid program for services to autistic children that it didn't provide, the department said. The alleged fraudulent billings occurred from September 2016 to December 2019.

The whistleblower is a former Prism employee, the department said.
