St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, part of Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare, has been designated as one of Florida’s behavioral health teaching hospitals.

The state designation renames the facility BayCare Behavioral Health Teaching Hospital at St. Joseph’s and reflects BayCare’s commitment to advancing workforce training as the largest behavioral healthcare provider in West Central Florida, according to a Nov. 21 news release.

The designation is supported by a strategic partnership with the Florida State University College of Medicine’s Center for Behavioral Health Integration and comes with renewable, competitive grant funding every two years.
