Arkansas Children’s taps Dr. Jason Williams to lead child mental, behavioral health

Jason Williams, PsyD, has been selected to lead the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children’s pediatric mental and behavioral health efforts.

Dr. Williams will serve as senior vice president and the first chief mental and behavioral officer for Arkansas Children’s, according to a Jan. 23 news release from the university. He will also be the chief of the division of child and adolescent psychiatry in the UAMS College of Medicine’s department of psychiatry.

Dr. Williams steps into these roles from Children’s Hospital Colorado, where he was director of operations in the Pediatric Mental Health Institute. He was also an associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora.
