Lifepoint, Mercy Health break ground on joint venture behavioral hospital

Construction is underway on a 72-bed behavioral facility in Youngstown, Ohio, as a joint venture between Mercy Health and Lifepoint Health.

The facility will house inpatient and outpatient treatment, including partial hospitalization programs, according to an April 17 news release. 

Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Health will manage day-to-day operations of the facility. The system has more than 20 freestanding behavioral hospitals. 

Cincinnati-based Mercy Health will also operate a joint rehabilitation hospital with Lifepoint which is scheduled to open later this year.
