14 new mental healthcare facilities worth $245M+ in November

Here are 14 newly opened or announced mental health facilities reported on by Becker's since Nov. 10:

  1. Franklin, Tenn.-based Acadia Healthcare and Indiana-based acute behavioral health provider Lutheran Health Network opened a new mental health facility in Fort Wayne, Ind., which will provide inpatient care for adults with mental health issues, emergency stabilization services and multiple forms of therapy.

 

  1. Oak Brook, Ill.-based Relief Mental Health, an outpatient mental health services provider, opened its second location in New Jersey, its 10th location nationwide. The facility will offer services including transcranial magnetic stimulation, medication management and psychotherapy.

 

  1. A mental health center for patients who are uninsured, underinsured or on Medicaid opened in Leesburg, Va. The outpatient center offers a maximum of 12 weekly or biweekly patient visits and intends to offer group therapy in the future.

 

  1. Sheridan (Wyo.) Memorial Hospital was awarded $5.9 million on behalf of the state's loan and investment board to build an emergency psychiatric assessment, treatment, healing and crisis stabilization unit. The project is projected to cost $12.8 million and be completed by 2026.

 

  1. City officials in Clovis, N.M., are planning a $44.5 million, 96-bed inpatient mental and behavioral health facility to combat the area's rising prison populations. The city is working with Denver-based Initium Health, a public benefit corporation, on the project.

 

  1. Officials in a Nebraska county are investing $55 million into building a mental health facility to serve the Douglas County area. The county's commissioners are developing plans for a standalone mental health facility or one connected to the county's jail.

 

  1. Montana Psychiatry and Brain Health Center in Billings, Mont., partnered with Dallas-based Turnwell Mental Health Network to create new mental health clinics throughout the state.

 

  1. Flint, Mich.-based Genesee Health System opened its Center for Children's Integrated Services, a new 60,000-square-foot pediatric primary and behavioral healthcare facility. The center will host all of the system's pediatric care services.

 

  1. Kennewick (Wash.) General Hospital is developing a $14 million, 32-bed behavioral health center. The facility will offer assessments, inpatient care, recovery housing and job assistance.

 

  1. Ochsner Lafayette (La.) General and Plano, Texas-based Oceans Healthcare are building a $30 million behavioral health hospital in Southwest Louisiana. The 120-bed hospital will provide inpatient and outpatient services for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients with mental health issues and substance use disorders.

 

  1. The Nebraska Legislature and Children’s Hospital & Medical Center are developing an $89 million pediatric behavioral health facility in Omaha, Neb. The 103,500-square-foot facility will have inpatient psychiatric care, mental health urgent care services, an emergency assessment center, partial hospitalization programs and a pediatric primary care clinic with outpatient mental health services.

 

  1. The state of Virginia's Prince William County contracted Phoenix-based behavioral health crisis care provider Connections Health todesign, build and operate a crisis care center in Woodbridge, Va. The facility will provide community-based crisis treatment, recovery and support.

 

  1. TrueCare rolled out its mobile wellness services to communities in San Diego and South Riverside counties in California. The nonprofit health center's 36-foot mobile health unit will provide medical services including behavioral healthcare, dental care, chiropractic treatment and immunizations to people in need.

 

  1. Martinsburg-based West Virginia University Berkeley Medical Center and University Healthcare Physicians opened the West Virginia University Medicine Crisis Support and Recovery Center, a 16-bed facility in Martinsburg that provides acute detox and mental health stabilization treatment.
