Here are 12 new behavioral health facilities and programs to know:
- Nashville, Tenn.-based Centerstone will provide mental health and substance use crisis services at a new center in Richmond, Ind. In addition to the center, Centerstone will also operate a mobile crisis unit serving a 60-mile radius, according to a news release. The program is expected to open Feb. 14.
- Ascension St. Vincent Warrick in Booneville, Ind., has opened an intensive outpatient care program for patients 55 and older, NPR affiliate WNIN reported Feb. 11.
- Dallas-based Metrocare opened a new family mental health clinic in southeast Dallas, NPR affiliate KERA reported Feb. 7.
- Alter Behavioral Health opened a new residential health center in Dana Point, Calif., where the company is based, according to a Feb. 6 news release.
- Minnesota State University Mankato opened a rural behavioral clinic Feb. 5. The center provides outpatient mental healthcare, and is an academic training center for students enrolled in social work, counseling, nursing and other programs. The clinic was partially funded by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota.
- Achieve Behavioral Health opened a new inpatient substance use disorder treatment facility in Gaston, N.C., the Gaston Gazette reported Feb. 4.
- Caldwell, Idaho-based Southwest District Health launched a youth support crisis center in Nampa, Idaho, NBC affiliate KTVB reported Feb. 4.
- Midland, Texas-based PermiaCare opened a 12-bed crisis respite center in Odessa, Texas, CBS affiliate KOSA reported Jan. 28.
- Greensville, S.C.-based Prisma Health opened a $3.7 million health center designed to triple access to outpatient behavioral health services. The Behavioral Health & Wellness pavilion offers outpatient services for adult and adolescent patients. Adult programs opened in January, while adolescent programs are set to begin in May.
- Bayada Behavioral Health added a new autism treatment center in Wall, N.J., the Asbury Park Press reported Jan. 24.
- The Dakota Counseling Institute has opened an eight-bed, 24-hour crisis facility in Mitchell, S.D., The Mitchell Republic reported Jan. 24.
- Lone Tree, Colo.-based Family Care Center added a new location in New Braunfels, Texas. The clinic offers outpatient treatment for children and adults.
