10 new behavioral health sites to know

Health systems, local governments and community organizations are launching new inpatient and outpatient behavioral health facilities. 

Here are 10 openings to note since April 16: 

  1. Lackawanna, N.Y.-based Our Lady of Victory Human Services, opened a family behavioral health clinic in Stafford, N.Y., ABC affiliate WHAM reported May 14. 
  1. New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health held a grand opening for its $5 million, 12,000-square-foot Behavioral Health Wellness Center in Riverhead, N.Y., on May 9. 
  1. Vail (Colo.) Health opened the Precourt Healing Center in Edwards, Colo., on May 5, Vail Daily reported. The center can treat up to 28 patients and is the only inpatient behavioral health center between Denver and Salt Lake City. 
  1. The Pawnee Nation and Ascension Recovery Services opened the Pawnee Nation Behavioral Health Facility, a 26-bed adult/geriatric inpatient and outpatient behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment site, in Pawnee, Okla. 
  1. Fort Wayne-Ind.-based Parkview Health transitioned its intensive outpatient behavioral health programs to a specially designed space. 
  1. Baltimore-based Maryland Addiction Recovery Center launched a new mental health intensive outpatient treatment program in Towson, Md., on April 30. 
  1. The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board opened a 20,000-square-foot behavioral health crisis center in Hampton, Va., on April 24. 
  1. Brightline Health opened its first brick-and-mortar clinic in New York City on April 23. 
  1. Des Moines, Iowa-based UnityPoint Health opened a $10.4 million certified community behavioral health center April 22. The 15,000-square-foot site in Des Moines also houses a behavioral urgent care facility. 

Lexington, Ky.-based NewVista launched a new behavioral health urgent care site in Lexington, Lane Report reported April 16.
