Adults self-reported the number of days per month they described their mental health as "poor," according to data analyzed by KFF.

Here is a list of the states ranked by best to worst self-reported mental health — best being the highest rate of adults reporting zero poor mental health days per month — according to the report, which uses data from 2021, the most recent available.
