NewYork-Presbyterian’s plans for the funds include a new ambulatory behavioral health center at White Plains-located NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health, the release said. Expansion of child and adolescent patient units, increased telepsychiatry services, and community programs for increasing awareness and access to youth mental healthcare will also be supported by the gift.
With the money supplied, NewYork-Presbyterian aims to respond to a growing youth mental health crisis characterized by increased rates of depression, anxiety and other mental health conditions, especially in the city’s most underserved neighborhoods.
