Catalina Behavioral Health, based in Tucson, Ariz., is expanding its inpatient trauma and complex trauma treatment services.

The organization has increased its clinical capacity to treat patients after traumatic experiences and said it can now care for more individuals needing intensive therapeutic intervention

“The facility’s expansion reflects a broader understanding within the mental health community that trauma requires specialized, comprehensive approaches distinct from general mental health treatment protocols,” according to a Jan. 13 news release

Catalina provides addiction and mental health services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
