Maine Behavioral Healthcare appoints VP of medical affairs, intensive services

James Wolak, MD, has been appointed South Portland-based Maine Behavioral Healthcare's vice president of medical affairs, intensive services.

Dr. Wolak most recently spent seven years as medical director of hospital psychiatry at Maine Medical Center in Portland, according to a June 26 news release. He previously served as director of the medical center's psychiatric emergency services from 2007 to 2016.

In this new role, Dr. Wolak will oversee the delivery of intensive behavioral services and all aspects of clinical operations. He will work alongside the vice president of medical affairs, ambulatory services, and vice president of medical affairs, autism and developmental disorder services.
