Vancouver, Wash.-based Columbia River Mental Health Services has named Craig Pridemore interim CEO, Oregon Public Broadcasting reported April 3. Mr. Pridemore’s appointment marks a return to the facility, as he served as its CEO from 2014 to 2020, according to the outlet.

The appointment comes as the mental health provider has suspended many of its services and furloughed more than 100 employees. Columbia River Mental Health is facing a $6 million budget shortfall, OPB reported. Former CEO Victor Jackson resigned amid the closures.

Columbia River Mental Health plans to reopen soon, Mr. Pridemore told the outlet. Providers could return as soon as the week of April 7, though administrative staff may be furloughed longer.

The nonprofit manages care for 1,600 high-acuity patients.
