Dr. Eken was most recently chief medical officer for Oconomowoc, Wis.-based Rogers Behavioral Health. She is a psychiatrist with more than 20 years experience in behavioral health, according to an April 4 news release.
She succeeds Michael Genovese, MD, Acadia’s previous chief medical officer. Dr. Genovese will continue in a consulting role to ensure a smooth transition, the company said in the news release. He has been chief medical officer for the past seven years.
Franklin, Tenn.-based Acadia Healthcare operates more than 250 behavioral health facilities in 38 states.
