Unity Health gifted $2.3M for mental health fellowship program

Washington, D.C.-based Unity Health Care has been awarded $2.3 million to establish the J. Willard and Alice S. Foundation Behavioral Health Development Fund to support its mental health fellowship program.

The new program will be modeled similarly to Unity’s family medicine and nurse practitioner residency programs to usher in a new generation of mental health providers in Washington, D.C., according to an April 18 news release.

It is set to launch this fall.
