Philadelphia-based JEVS Human Services has opened a behavioral health hub Feb. 2, aiming to expand access to mental and behavioral health services in northeast Philadelphia.
The community-based site in Philadelphia consolidated multiple behavioral health offerings into one location, with programs to provide individualized clinical care alongside peer support, the organization said in a Feb. 2 new release. The hub was designed to support more than 150 individuals annually across three core service areas — psychiatry rehabilitation, a mental health outpatient clinic and certified peer specialist services.
“By embedding these services within the community and prioritizing accessibility, we are removing barriers to care and supporting pathways to recovery, connection, and opportunity,” President and CEO Cynthia Figueroa said in the news release.
The organization selected the location to improve accessibility via public transportation and to situate services within a neighborhood setting.
