Florida’s first behavioral health hospital for women is slated to open in Tampa this spring, Spectrum News reported Dec. 22.
Mariposa Women’s Hospital will specialize in treating women with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and other emotional and substance use challenges.
The 32-bed, $16 million hospital will integrate primary care, mental health services and specialty treatments, with an emphasis on female-only treatment environments, according to its website.
Tampa, Fla.-based Ibis Healthcare is developing the hospital. The organization formed in fall 2025 through the merger of two nonprofit behavioral health providers in the Tampa Bay area — Gracepoint Wellness and COVE Behavioral Health.
