Springfield, Mass.-based Baystate Health is opening a behavioral health hospital in Holyoke, MassLive reported May 17.
Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital, a joint venture between Baystate and Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Health, is set to open in summer, the report said. The first patients are scheduled to move in Aug. 15.
Baystate will phase out behavioral health beds in its Greenfield, Palmer and Westfield locations once Valley Springs Behavioral Health opens. The new $72 million, 150-bed behavioral health hospital will employ about 200 people, the report said.
