Acadia plans 144-bed Florida hospital

Franklin, Tenn.-based Acadia Healthcare purchased $9 million worth of land in St. Johns, Fla., with plans to build a 144-bed hospital, the Jacksonville Daily Record reported Feb. 13.

County records show the behavioral health facility operator is planning to build a two-story, 99,485-square-foot hospital on the site, the Jacksonville Daily Record reported. 

Acadia operates a comprehensive treatment center in nearby Jacksonville, Fla. The company is planning several facility expansions, including a joint venture with St. Louis-based Ascension to expand Acadia’s facility in Austin, Texas; a new 144-bed hospital in North Carolina; and a $60M facility in New Hampshire.
