The Franklin, Tenn.-based company reported its fourth quarter and full-year earnings Feb. 27. Acadia reported $255.6 million in net income in 2024, improving from a $21.7 million loss in 2023.
The company added the highest number of new beds in its history in 2024, CEO Chris Hunter said in a Feb. 27 news release.
Here are five things to know:
- Acadia Healthcare brought in $3.2 billion in revenue in 2024, up from $2.9 billion in 2023.
- The company added 1,300 newly constructed beds in 2024.
- The company added 577 beds during the fourth quarter, including 233 to existing facilities and 344 to newly constructed sites.
- During the fourth quarter of 2024, Acadia opened three new facilities, including a joint-venture hospital with Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health in Denver. Other new Acadia facilities opened in Madison, Wis., and Indio, Calif.
- Fourth-quarter 2024 patient days and admissions increased slightly compared to the same time period in 2023. Acadia reported 47,866 admissions to its facilities in the fourth quarter.
