Recovery Centers of America acquires youth substance abuse program

King of Prussia, Pa.-based Recovery Centers of America, a substance abuse treatment network, has acquired Bryn Mawr, Pa.-based Adolescent and Young Adult Advocates, an outpatient substance abuse program.

"We are pleased to welcome Adolescent and Young Adult Advocates, Recovery Centers of America to our family of offerings, serving as an important outpatient resource for young people and their families in the Philadelphia area," Troy Brindle, CEO of RCA's outpatient services, said in a March 9 news release. "We are highly focused on using outpatient programming to help adolescents, as we recognize that early substance use correlates with addiction issues later in life, and that the most significant increases in destructive behavior routinely occur among older teens and young adults."

Adolescent and Young Adult Advocates, Recovery Centers of America will provide individual, family and group sessions through general and intensive outpatient programs for individuals aged 14 to 26.
