Here are seven behavioral health treatment facilities that were announced or opened their doors within the last month, as reported by Becker's since May 30:

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock is the first facility in the U.S. to offer treatment for major depressive disorder using the SAINT neuromodulation system.

The toll of mental illness costs the U.S. economy $282 million annually — a 30% increase compared to costs estimated in prior studies, according to an analysis published in April by the National Bureau of Economic Research. 

Increasingly, the nation's behavioral health crisis is straining hospital emergency departments, prompting health system leaders to pour more resources and energy into expanding access to mental health services.
