American Medical Group Association has partnered with New York City-based Talkiatry to expand access to in-network psychiatric care.
The collaboration allows AMGA members to connect patients with Talkiatry’s nationwide practice of more than 800 employed, full-time psychiatrists. The providers deliver in-network care covered by more than 100 insurance plans, aiming to address national wait times that can exceed six weeks for a new psychiatric appointment.
The partnership uses a measurement-based care model that incorporates clinical assessments and AI-powered technology to track patient progress. Talkiatry said 87% of patients treated for anxiety and 86% treated for depression see symptom reduction after two visits.
AMGA represents more than 175,000 physicians who deliver care to 1 in 3 Americans. Talkiatry said its services are covered for more than 170 million lives and the company has delivered 3 million patient visits to date.
At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
